Many of us have dreams of becoming published authors.  But the world of writing involves more than the words that make it onto paper.  Writers and book projects are filtered through personal relationships and communities that will ultimately shape a written work’s success.  In this installment of the Queens Podcast Lab learning series, we meet University of Toronto sociologist Clayton Childress, author of Under the Cover: The Creation, Production, and Reception of a Novel (Princeton University Press), and Queens College sociologist Dana Weinberg, digital publishing industry researcher and Russian spy genre novelist.  We will discuss the digital publishing industry, and how professional novelists navigate the demands of their field.
